Last year, eBay rolled out simplified selling, which leverages the power of structured data and predictive analytics to pre-populate listings, and enables sellers to list items in just a few steps.
Today, eBay is releasing a new update to its Android and iOS native apps that further simplifies the listing process and makes selling even easier. The update, which makes the process especially streamlined and appealing for new sellers, allows items to be listed on eBay within seconds.
Sellers find the product they are listing by scanning in the barcode or typing a description, selecting the condition and clicking “list your item.” With 170 million active buyers in search of items, everyone can easily make money by selling on eBay.
“At eBay, we’re dedicated to delivering a seamless and efficient selling experience for both first-time and seasoned sellers alike,” says Kelly Vincent, eBay’s VP of Consumer Selling Product & Engineering. “This latest update continues to leverage eBay’s structured data, which helps catalogue the 1.1+ billion items on the platform, to instantaneously populate product details, pricing and shipping information in the listing flow. Not only does the catalogue facilitate a superior listing experience, it enables buyers to easily find the great deals offered by our sellers. This is one of many enhancements we’ll be making this year. We’ll continue to leverage structured data and new technology developments to help our sellers ‘get it sold.’”
