The Samsung S6 may be the talk of the town, but it is the iPhone 5 which receives more searches per hour¹ than any other smartphone according to eBay.
eBay has tracked search activity for over 60 smartphone models and can reveal the iPhone 5 receives over 221,000 searches every hour, closely followed by the iPhone 4s with 217,000². On eBay.co.uk alone there are currently more than 81,000 different listings for mobile phones³.
Samsung and Apple models dominate the top 10 searches, with HTC the only other brand to break into the list at number nine. Its M8 model registers close to 83,000 searches per hour?.
Despite the fanfare around the release of the iPhone 6 last year, it doesn’t even make the top 40 when it comes to searches on eBay’s online marketplace.
