With Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War fever reaching marvel-lous heights - the film has already achieved over $640M at the global box office and notched up the highest global opening weekend of all time - eBay.co.uk has challenged YouTuber Colin Furze to create a replica model of the Avengers Hulkbuster ahead of the much anticipated film, using only parts sourced from its marketplace.
The replica of the new Hulkbuster, bigger and bolder than the original seen in Avengers: Age Of Ultron, weighs in at more than a tonne and took eight weeks and a team of six people to complete. The 250-plus items used in the build were all sourced on eBay.co.uk, from over 50 individual sellers, and include everything from hydraulic motors, welding supplies, through to retro arcade machine buttons for the control panel!
The super-hero specifics also include a palm repulsor on the left hand and compressed-air powered punching fist on the right – and at 3.2 metres tall and 2.4 metres wide, the Hulkbuster has a heroic set of proportions.
Colin Furze is a popular British YouTube inventor with over 5.5 million fans watching his creative builds on his channel. Previous projects have included a homemade 360 swing, a hand-built jet bicycle, and last year, a giant Star Wars Tie Silencer andAT-ACT built with parts all purchased from eBay.co.uk
