With the much-anticipated Lego Ninjago movie making its way onto the silver screen this week (13th October), eBay has teamed up with the UK’s most beloved construction toy company for a charity auction in aid of Sebastian’s Action Trust, which offers support to families of seriously ill children.
Indeed, with the ‘NINJAGO Charity Case’, ‘Lightning Jet’ and ‘Water Strider’ featured in the film, already set to be high on Christmas lists, Lego has donated one of each of the new toys to the auction via their nominated eBay seller, The Biggest Toy Store. The auction will take place between 12th – 20th October when fans can bid to win and recreate adventures from the movie.
According to the online marketplace sales of Lego have continued to capture the nation’s imagination, piecing together to become the UK’s third most-wanted item of the past year, with over 4.4 million total searches on site and a peak in November ahead of the Christmas period, with five searches every second[1].
And with more than two ‘Lego’ related items sold every 30 minutes in the last week[2] alone, the demand lives on so Brits need to bid in it to win it this October.
