Sydney, 2 April 2013: eBay Inc. today announced that its advertising network business, Shopping.com, has been re-launched as the eBay Commerce Network. The re-branding of the division reflects its evolution from a shopping comparison destination on the Web to a fully-fledged advertising network.
The eBay Commerce Network (ECN) connects buyers and sellers in Australia and internationally by providing advertisers (retailers) with access to a network of leading publishers and websites.
eBay Commerce Network is the only advertising network that allows merchants to engage consumers on eBay and other websites in a single campaign. It brings together 8,000 merchants and 2,000 publishers to provide access to 250 million consumers globally.
Advertisers can reach consumers at every stage in their shopping experience from awareness to purchase. The network spans search engines (Bing), content sites (CNET), shopping portals (The Find) and marketplaces (eBay). Shopping.com will continue as a price comparison and online shopping destination - within the eBay Commerce Network.
ECN focuses on product listing ads, which drive traffic directly to the merchant's website and link to an immediate opportunity to buy. Merchant customers in Australia include Kogan, The Iconic, 1st Choice Liquor, oo.com.au and CrazySales.com.au.
The eBay Commerce Network aligns with eBay Inc.'s retail partner strategy, which is designed to deliver services that enable commerce via its portfolio of businesses.
oo.com.au website. Traffic from the network typically represents a 300 per cent increase when compared to the shopping.com channel in isolation," said Dhaval Patel, Online Marketing Manager, oo.com.au.
The ECN platform offers:

- A team dedicated to enriching and optimising listings to create the best product catalogue for consumers
