Fashion Gallery at eBay is set to engage and inspire shoppers with the launch of a fashion-focused social media community.
The launch of social media updates on six of the largest social media sites will see Australia’s largest online marketplace reach new heights, with expertly curated editorial content for added shopping inspiration.
A team of editors led by two former fashion glossy insiders Alexandra Thompson (Shop Til You Drop, Australian Women’s Weekly, InStyle, The Knot) and Nadia Bailey (Shop Til You Drop, NW, Madison) will update the Fashion Gallery at eBay social media sites daily with fresh content from how-tos and celebrity match-it buys to trend reports and street-style imagery.
For the ultimate in style files, a series of fashion identities and editors will share their edits of new-season product on Fashion Gallery at eBay across the year as part of the Style Seeker Series. InStyle’s Kerrie McCallum and Shop’s Justine Cullen have already pulled on-trend winter looks for shoppers, with a full line-up of eBay Style Seekers to be announced shortly.
Shoppers can access daily updates via Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr, with offerings on Instagram, Google+ and Pinterest supporting the primary platforms.
To ensure no stone is left unturned, the social media platforms will have up-to-the-minute news on flash sales and special offers across the Fashion Gallery at eBay brands.
eBay Australia Head of Fashion, Jo-Ann Hicks, says that eBay shoppers can look forward to exciting content including behind-the-scenes coverage of Lisa Ho’s Fashion Week show at the Art Gallery of NSW on May 2.
“We’re so excited to offer customers more inspiration around the incredible brands Fashion Gallery at eBay has on offer,” said Jo-Ann Hicks.
“eBay shoppers are incredibly online savvy. By launching our social media platforms we’re creating a hub for people to get a bit of outfit inspiration or show them how to shop a new trend. We want these portals to extend the shopping experience for all of our customers across Fashion Gallery and each of the brands, so the sky’s really the limit with the launch of these great platforms.”
More than 35 brands including Witchery, Supre, Bardot, Alannah Hill, Mimco and Zanerobe make up the Fashion Gallery at eBay, which launched in October 2011. New additions to the stable include Sydney leather specialists Viparo, Australian-made basics brand Mesop, feminine favourite Fleur Wood and resort brand Suboo.
