SYDNEY, Australia - eBay Vice President and leader of eBay’s Korea businesses will lead eBay Australia & New Zealand Pty Ltd from July following a decision by current leader Vice President Deborah Sharkey to move to eBay’s global headquarters in San Jose, USA.
Jooman Park joined eBay Korea’s subsidiary Internet Auction Company (IAC) in 2002 and has led eBay Korea for over 8 years, helping to grow IAC and GMarket into Korea’s leading online marketplaces.
Sharkey joined eBay’s Sydney team in October 2003 and has led eBay Australia & New Zealand Pty Ltd since December 2008 helping to grow eBay’s position as Australia’s leading online marketplace. eBay has over 7 million Australian unique visitors a month (Nielsen NetRatings).
“I’ve enjoyed four great years at the helm of eBay Australia & New Zealand Pty Ltd,” Sharkey said. “Having worked almost my entire professional life in Australia and Japan, I am particularly excited about returning to the US to continue to work for eBay.”
