A very unique eBay for Charity auction is in the works, and both guitar and art aficionados will want to take note. Bai— a company that specializes in healthy, better-for-you drinks—in collaboration with multi-platinum artist Zac Brown, created The Guitar Project, to showcase a series of custom-painted Taylor guitars on Zac Brown Band’s 2015 Jekyll + Hyde tour.
For this special project, Bai and Brown selected a group of emerging artists who share one thing in common: the pursuit of an authentic, creative vision, and self-expression through unique and distinctive styles. Their art is featured on a limited number of hand-built Taylor guitars, all played live by Zac Brown throughout the band's largest North American Stadium Tour to date before being auctioned off on eBay.
The eBay Guitar Project Auction will run from Feb 1 to Feb 11 (just before the Grammy Awards).
Proceeds from the auction will go to Zac Brown’s charity Camp Southern Ground, founded by the musician to help children who face difficult challenges and disabilities to find their authentic selves.
"One of the artists, Seth Chwast, was diagnosed with autism as a child," says Zac Brown. "I was incredibly inspired by him and his art, and to see him overcome his challenges and be able to share his unique gifts is the essence of what Camp Southern Ground is all about. My vision is for Camp Southern Ground to help kids of all different backgrounds overcome academic, social and emotional difficulties, while helping their families and spreading a positive message. I've been blessed with an amazing gift and the Camp is a way for me to give back."
