Glassdoor, a prominent jobs and career site, has bestowed an honor on eBay Inc., naming the company to its Top 25 list for compensation and employee benefits. According to Glassdoor, the ranking is “based on workplace insights shared by the people who know these companies best — their employees.”
Glassdoor’s online list of rankings takes note of eBay Inc.’s “great benefits, employee engagement and potential for growth.”
Seventy-seven percent of employees that Glassdoor interviewed said they would recommend eBay Inc. to friends as a good place to work.
“Depending on your area in the company, there is a real emphasis on work-life balance,” said one employee. Another employee characterized eBay Inc. as “a great place to start your career.”
The San Francisco Chronicle covered Glassdoor’s rankings in an online post, noting that 11 San Francisco Bay Area companies made the list, including Google, Facebook and Salesforce.
Earlier this year, Glassdoor honored eBay Inc. President and CEO John Donahoe on its list of the 50 Highest Rated CEOs for 2014.
