With fewer days to shop for loved ones this year, every minute of the holiday rush matters. To help out harried consumers, eBay Now, eBay’s local shopping and delivery service, is offering free delivery from now right up until Christmas Eve, as well as extended shopping hours one week before Christmas.
eBay Now also has a tasty treat for San Francisco residents in particular. In addition to a month of free delivery, the company is working with several merchants in San Francisco’s famed Ferry Building, including Cowgirl Creamery, Mariposa Baking Co., Stonehouse Olive Oil and more, to offer select artisanal goods for purchase online and on mobile.
A special, limited-time holiday promotion that ends Dec. 31, the eBay Now-Ferry Building pilot is an easy way for San Francisco residents to connect with local goods. Shoppers can currently order from multiple Ferry Building merchants in one order, with a limit of 10 items per order, and choose from a number of specially selected items for eBay Now purchases. Certain merchants are also offering gift baskets exclusively for eBay Now customers.
The Ferry Building is the ideal partner for eBay Now because our service was built on the idea that customers should be able to shop their local stores, says Deborah Sharkey, Vice President of Local at eBay. “Local delivery is a priority for eBay and we will continue to partner with more retailers, both large and small, to help them connect to customers in a new way.”
