eBay Inc.’s Greater China Center of Excellence entered the Great Place to Work (GPTW) awards competition for Greater China this year for the first time – and it just won second place.
It’s an affirmation of our Shared Commitment to execute well, every day, and it also reflects robust employee satisfaction as we strive to keep improving our employee net promoter score (eNPS). The Greater China Center of Excellence unites the eBay and PayPal Technology teams, which shared the award.
The Great Place to Work Institute, the global research, consulting and training firm that hands out the awards, assesses workplaces on five dimensions relative to employees. They are: credibility, respect and fairness (which are attributes of trust), as well as pride and camaraderie. Trust, GPTW believes, is the single most important ingredient in making a workplace great.
“Walking through the doors of the office every day and feeling the energy, happiness, passion from the people is incredibly motivating,” said Vivian Tian, general manager of the China Center of Excellence for eBay Marketplaces. “I am so proud of the team. Coming second place in the Great Place to Work awards in Greater China is huge, it is due to everybody’s hard work and great contributions.”
“This is great for the brand, great for the pride of our employees, and a key indicator of how we measure as a company versus other players in China," added Patrick Firouzian, general manager for PayPal Technology China and Singapore.
