Alex Kazim, Vice President and General Manager of Global Advertising at eBay, has built a remarkable career in scaling billion-dollar businesses and launching transformative ventures. Now in his second tenure at eBay, he leads the company’s eCommerce advertising business. Prior, he drove key initiatives like the expansion of PayPal’s Merchant Services and the global launch of eBay’s Classifieds. His proven track record of successfully navigating companies of all sizes, at all stages, uniquely positions him to help the Foundation work effectively with nonprofits to remove barriers to entrepreneurship.

“I am absolutely excited to join as a Board Member of eBay Foundation,” said Alex. “The Foundation does amazing work partnering with non-profits to remove barriers to entrepreneurship, and as both an eBay boomerang and startup founder, I hold its mission close to my heart. I’m looking forward to collaborating with my fellow Board members to advance its mission and goals.”

Julie Cheng, Senior Director of Advertising Engineering at eBay, combines extensive leadership in engineering with strategic expertise gained from two decades in the advertising industry, including roles at major technology companies like Yahoo and Apple. Julie’s experience in leading diverse teams positions her well to enhance the Foundation’s focus on promoting inclusive entrepreneurship.

“I am honored to join eBay Foundation as a Board Member because of its mission to create opportunities for individuals and communities,” said Julie. “As a woman in tech, I see this as a chance to make a real impact that drives inclusive economic opportunities and creates lasting systemic change.”

John Feldmeier, Vice President of Site Engineering and Information Technology at eBay, brings over twenty years of experience driving innovation and operational efficiency. John has significantly enhanced eBay’s site reliability and operational standards by building teams and implementing effective strategic initiatives. His strategic leadership and expertise in scaling teams and processes will support the Foundation’s goal to maximize community impact.

“It is a privilege to join eBay Foundation as a board member,” said John. “As a long time eBay employee I have seen the power that eBay has to empower people and as a member of the Foundation board I am looking forward to contributing in another way to eBay’s great mission.”
