"For the past eight years, this partnership with eBay for Charity has been an incredible opportunity to spread awareness about our mission of ‘Building Homes and Rebuilding Lives’ for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans,” said Renee Gugliotta, Deputy Director of Marketing at Homes For Our Troops.
eBay shoppers can bid on exclusive items and celebrity experiences, with all proceeds directly supporting HFOT's crucial work.

“Building Homes, Rebuilding Lives”
For veterans, the transition back to civilian life is never easy—especially for those facing life-altering injuries from combat. Homes For Our Troops builds and donates specially adapted homes across the U.S. for post-9/11 veterans who have experienced severe injuries. These homes are more than just a place to live: they’re a critical step toward restored independence, giving veterans the stability to focus on their families, healing, and building their futures.
For Renee Gugliotta, Deputy Director of Marketing at Homes for Our Troops, the auction’s ongoing success is a testament to the power of community.
“Each bid in this auction empowers our veterans to live safely and independently, and it brings together communities across the nation—families, neighbors, and supporters—who honor the sacrifices they have made. It’s this collective strength and compassion that truly makes a difference in the lives of those who have given so much for our country,” said Renee.
2024 has been a landmark year for the organization.
“This year, we’re celebrating our 20th anniversary and the incredible milestone of donating our 400th specially adapted custom home,” said Renee. “We are grateful for the enduring support of our donors, partners, volunteers, celebrities, and public figures who contribute their time and effort to our mission.”
Star-Studded Support for the Troops
Every year, the auction rallies an ever-growing and illustrious community in support of veterans. Celebrities like Jake Tapper, George Clooney, Mindy Kaling, and Wynonna Judd host and amplify the event, while the eBay for Charity platform extends the auction across the globe.

-
18 holes of golf with Jason Bateman and Will Arnett

eBayers Rally for Our Military Communities
The Homes For Our Troops auction is just one of the many ways eBayers can show up for our military communities this November.
eBay’s HONOR COI has selected HFOT as a featured charity for eBay for Charity’s Give at Checkout, running from November 10-20. During this time, eBay buyers can make direct donations to HFOT as they shop.
HONOR will also host a 5k charity run on November 13, with proceeds benefiting the Wooden Boats for Veterans Foundation.
Then on November 14, Honor will host a special keynote with Darren Walton, a Vietnam Reconnaissance Marine Veteran, author of “Di Di Mau”, and entrepreneur. He’ll share his incredible experience transitioning from military service to entrepreneurship, and chat about his book. This special event will be followed by a Happy Hour at The Sellar.
HONOR and Darren Walton will also generously donate five signed copies of his book for inclusion in the HFOT auction.
About Homes For Our Troops:
Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) is a publicly funded 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans, to enable them to rebuild their lives. Most of these Veterans have sustained injuries including multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis, and/or severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). These homes restore some of the freedom and independence our Veterans sacrificed while defending our country, and enable them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives. Since its inception in 2004, nearly 90 cents out of every dollar spent has gone directly to our program services for Veterans. HFOT builds these homes where the Veteran chooses to live and continues its relationship with the Veterans after home delivery to assist them with rebuilding their lives.
