eBay employees around the world filled the streets with color as they took part in Pride events in support of our LGBTQ community. eBay’s participation in Pride reflects our commitment to being inclusive and celebrates our diversity.
Led by eBay’s United in Pride community of inclusion, more than 500 employees, friends and family in the Bay Area gathered for a festive Sunday brunch, and then marched down Market Street in the San Francisco Pride Parade alongside the #weBay float. eBay HQ also hosted Assembly member Evan Low for a fireside chat with Helen Kim, Vice President, Business Operations of Product. Evan discussed the challenges and opportunities of being an openly gay elected official, and offered advice on how people can be more civically engaged.
The eBay team in Dublin held a full week of Pride celebrations, including a Diversity Talks networking series, a drag bingo fundraiser to benefit a local LGBT youth organization, and an open mic show that invited employees to showcase their talents. The week culminated in the Dublin pride parade, where over 100 employees, friends and family participated. And in Salt Lake City, employees added some eBay flavor to the Utah Pride Festival with a booth, balloons and colorful giveaways.
