In a year unlike any other, watch enthusiasts are looking for new ways to connect and celebrate all things in the world of horology, from interesting watch stories to connecting with other watch fans. This summer, eBay is unveiling “Watch from Home Week” (WFHW), the marketplace’s first-ever dedicated luxury watch takeover for its global community of timepiece collectors. Debuting on July 13 at 2pm ET/11am PT on eBay’s YouTube channel, WFHW is an exploration of some of the world’s finest watches handpicked by top collectors and a look at what makes them tick.
Headlining the week is eBay’s new “Dialed In” video series, which features preeminent watch experts in the field breaking down the most popular watch categories — Chronograph, Dive and Dress watches. Highlighting iconic models such as the Omega Speedmaster, Rolex Submariner and Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso, each episode is hosted by watchmaker and horologist Nicholas Manousos. Industry insiders and tastemakers Brian Sacawa, Matt Hranek and more join Manousos, diving into what makes these timepieces unique and collectible, while sharing tips on general watch care and what to look for when buying vintage watches on eBay.
In addition to the “Dialed In” series, eBay is turning over its Instagram to international luxury watch and lifestyle influencer, Anish Bhatt, best known as @WatchAnish, to host an @eBay IG Live takeover at 12pm ET/9am PT on July 14. He’ll answer questions from fans, share his own purchasing tips and discuss favorites from his watch collection.
