This morning, eBay released limited quantities of the winning sneaker for $799. Then, as an extra surprise for our loyal sneaker community, we offered a limited drop of the runner up, the Nike Air Max 1/97 VF SW “Sean Wotherspoon,” at $649. Both sneakers sold out in minutes.
eBay’s regular sneaker drops will resume this Friday, April 10, with the Yeezy Boost 700 V2 “Geode” priced at $199. Check @eBay on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook at 9am PT to get yours before someone else does.
This spring, eBay and Stadium Goods launch ‘Sneaker Showdown,’ a series of polls giving the public the opportunity to decide which highly sought-after sneaker goes on sale at a significantly reduced price. Together, we’ve sourced 16 of the best styles and positioned them head-to-head in every sneakerhead’s dream bracket. From Off-Whites to Yeezys, Union Jordans to Travis Scott’s hottest collaborations, the community can vote on a prime selection of grails in hopes their favorite shoe comes out on top.
Beginning March 30, fans can visit eBay’s Twitter or Instagram, or Stadium Goods’ Instagram to pick their favorite sneaker from each matchup. The series will culminate on April 8 with the top-voted shoe dropped at an unbelievable price. What’s the best grail in the ‘Sneaker Showdown?’ It’s up to you to decide.
