During the 2015 holidays, eBay for Charity ran a Wish Bigger Sweepstakes, encouraging eBay customers to add their favorite charitable organizations to their profile, making it easy for them to donate a portion of their sales to the charity of their choice.
Each charity added as a favorite during the sweepstakes period was eligible to win prizes, including $25,000 for the grand prize winner; $15,000 for second place; and $10,000 as a randomly selected grant.
Congratulations to North Shore Animal League America (NSALA), grand prize winner of the 2015 Wish Bigger sweepstakes for charities.
NSALA shared with us a little about their organization and what winning $25,000 will help them do even more good in the world.
What we do: North Shore Animal League America is the largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization in the world. Our mission consists of four words: Rescue, Nurture, Adopt and Educate. In 2015, we conducted nearly 18,000 adoptions.

Impact $25,000 prize will have on your organization? How will it help? The $25,000 eBay donation we won will have a significant impact on our no-kill mission. It will help us to continue our lifesaving work. For example, our weekly rescue transports from puppy mills and overcrowded municipal shelters locally and nationwide, as well as international rescue. Recent international rescue includes the Cayman Islands, Turks & Caicos, Egypt and Taiwan. It will help our many vital programs, like Seniors For Seniors, Help Me Heal and our volunteer Foster Program as well as help with the essential medical care and rehabilitation needed for the thousands of dogs, cats, puppies and kittens in our care each year. Relationship with eBay: Having a successful relationship with eBay as a partner in our mission helps North Shore Animal League America raise awareness for homeless shelter and rescue pets in need, not only at our no-kill Adoption Center but across the globe. We thank eBay for that from the bottom of our hearts.
Memorable moments with eBay: Working with eBay on campaigns like the #WinBigger Sweepstakes and eBay for Charity “Give @ Checkout” have helped North Shore Animal League America to raise revenue to help fund the lifesaving work we do every day.
